How to get a library card
Who can become a registered reader:
citizens over 15 having capacity to enter into legal acts
public institutions having their seat in the Czech Republic
the European Union countries citizens including those from Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland after presentation of their valid identity card
people from other countries after presentation of their valid passport and valid residence permit
What is necessary to get your library card:
all applicants must provide adequate evidence of identity (valid identity card - for Czech citizens, valid passport and/or residence permit - for foreigners)
it is important to provide evidence of your temporary or permanent address in the Czech Republic; otherwise you will have to pay a deposit of 150,- CZK per book
money for paying
the registration fee
to fill in the application form and undertake to observe the library rules

at the registration desk on the first floor of the library
Why is registration advantageous to you:
it enables you to borrow books outside the library

for the access to the Internet
you can use separate study boxes on the 5

The library allows the registration fee reduction to:
people over 60 after presentation of their valid identity card
handicapped people
students under 26 after presentation of their valid study certificate
